DIY Replace Valve Cover Gasket

One fine morning i was taking out the spark plugs to service them...then suddenly i saw the plug's body is very oily... after some check ups... then found out it was the gasket leaking already... no wonder the oil consumption is kinda bad... after 3000km of oil change... the engine oil will go down half at the dipstick...

So went to sparepart shop to get a new one n start the replacement... Cheap replacement n easy job!!!
Identify the all the bolts n hoses to be removed 1st

Loosen n remove mounting bolts with a rachet wrench

Notice the yellow rectangle... Oil leak area... very bad condition..

Valve cover opened... Wipe the gasket clean with paper towel or tissue paper...

Fit in new gasket... hit the parts which are not fitting in properly with the screwdriver as in the picture...

Fit in all the screws n DO NOT tighten any of them 1st.. start tightening once all 6 screw are in place... Tighten until the force is CONSTANT.. then STOP

Fit the throtle cable mounting bracket in place n plug in the hoses.. DONE!!
