DIY CAI (Cold Air Intake) - New Shorter Air-Path
3rd April 2007

The last CAI DIY I did was without taking out the bumper, and the CAI hose path was a little long and crushed by the bumper. If there is a fog light, the pathway will be blocked.

Now.. the new setup uses shorter CAI hose as the hose go through the chassis bypass holes without getting the CAI hose crushed. But at a price of removing the bumper in order to get it all done nicely.

For this DIY, the pictures taken are not on my own car. This car is my customer's car who asked me to install the CAI hose for him at a small fee. ^_^

Once the mounting bolts are removed, the bottom piece of the U-Snorkel can be removed and attach the CAI hose onto the upper piece. Here I use cable ties.
